If your P-trap is ABS plastic, unclogging is slightly different:
- Locate the Cleanout Plug:
Many ABS P-traps have a bottom cleanout plug. Use a wrench to open this while holding a bucket underneath. - Drain the Water:
Let the water drain completely. - Disassemble If Needed:
If still clogged, use the wrench to loosen the trap adapter and remove the P-trap from the tailpiece. Pull it down slowly and firmly. - Clean Out Debris:
Remove hair, grease, or buildup from the P-trap manually. - Reconnect:
Reattach securely, ensuring there are no leaks.
